Obituary of Edward J. Shanahan

Edward J. Shanahan, age 51, of LaFayette, New York died Sunday, April 6, 2003 at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse, New York. Edward was born October 6, 1951 in Syracuse, the son of Edward J. and Betty M. (Kyser) Shanahan. He attended LaFayette High School and graduated from Manlius Military Academy. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Rochester Institute of Technology. He owned and operated Shanahan Tractor and Implement Company in LaFayette since 1974. Mr. Shanahan is survived by his wife of 28 years, Judith A. (Salmonsen) Shanahan; one daughter: Elizabeth E. Shanahan of LaFayette, New York; one son: Patrick E. Shanahan of LaFayette, New York; his mother, Betty Shanahan of LaFayette, New York; several aunts, uncles and nieces. Funeral: Thursday, April 10. 2003, 9:15 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., and 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 6136 Cherry Valley Turnpike, LaFayette, New York where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Father Michael Minehan.
