Obituary of Bessie M. Ingram

Bessie M. Ingram, age 83, of Syracuse, New York died Friday, May 30, 2003 at Community General Hospital, Onondaga Hill, New York. Bessie was born February 9, 1920 in Freetown, New York, the daughter of Erwin A. and Goldie (Haight) Rogers. She attended Cincinatus High School. She was a Home Health Aide for 8 years and previously worked at Van Duyn Home & Hospital for 15 years and at Castle Rest Nursing Home for 10 years. She was a member of Syracuse Christian & Missionary Alliance Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Willis W. Smith Sr., November 16, 1990, and a son, Arthur E. Smith in 1988. Mrs. Ingram is survived by her husband of 39 years, Louis Ingram; three sons, Willis W. Smith Jr. of Marietta, New York, James E. Smith of Cortland, New York and Larry F. Smith of Hyde Park, New York; one sister, Frances I. Jones and one brother, Erwin Rogers both of East Homer, New York; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral: Tuesday, June 3, 2003, 10:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. William Redekop officiating.
