Obituary of Mildred Allen Goldthwait

Mildred Allen Goldthwait, age 84, formerly of Academy Place, Syracuse, New York died Wednesday, July 9, 2003 at Birchwood Health Care Center, Liverpool, New York. Mildred was born September 7, 1918 in North Syracuse, New York, the daughter of Melvin and Nellie (Davison) Graves. She was a graduate of Elbridge High School and attended Syracuse Normal School. She was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church and Valley VIP?s. She worked for the Food Bank at Onondaga Valley Presbyterian Church and she was a former member of Order of Easter Star in Liverpool, New York. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Earl C. Allen in 1952 and Francis E. Goldthwait in 1986. Mrs. Goldthwait is survived by her daughter, Irene S. Allen of Tuscon, Arizona; son and daughter-in-law, David E. and Ellie Allen of Baldwinsville, New York; sister, Lucy Ethel Young of Fairmount, New York; 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Funeral: Saturday, July 12, 2003, 10:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., with Pastor Nelson Gaetz officiating. Burial: Onondaga Valley Cemetery, 2500 Valey Drive, Syracuse, New York.
