DAD ~ On December 8, 2003 (""Feast of the Immaculate Conception""), as you passed, you were embraced and carried by the arms of the Virgin Mother Mary into the arms of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. There in his arms you will peacefully rest for eternity. You will forever be loved and remain in our hearts and minds. LOVE ~ Bob and Karen

Bob was one who served his country well. He survived a frightful aircombat experience. He had to abandon a burning aircraft which exploded just after the crew left. He was a POW in a neutral country. When he saought to escape he was captured and sent to an inhumanecamp. He endured these events and believed it was part of his duty to his fellow man. He was a valuble member of the Swiss Internees Assocand his nameplate will be on the side of the Memorial Archives of the Swiss Internees Assoc. to be placed at the 8th Air Force Museum, Savannah, GA.

Like so many other people, I thought of Bob as a part of my family. When I think of my summers as a kid, I remember all time Amy and I spent in the pool at his house. Such a nice man. He will be missed. Love - Christopher

I do not have to tell any of you in the Walsh Family how great our son Mark thought Grandpa Walsh was, not only as a fireman, fellow member of the Valley Men's Club, grandpa to so many or just a wonderful person. Mark always spoke about the stories Grandpa Walsh would tell when he and Billy would end up spending the night at Grandpa and Grandma Walsh's house when they were younger. He thought Grandpa Walsh was one of the most interesting people he had every met. Our entire family thought very highly of him. Especially his wonderful smile. Our sincerest sympathy to Grandma Walsh and the entire Walsh family.

Gramp,Where do I begin? I can't thank you enough for all the memories that you have left us with. The road trips, the hockey games, the State Fair, but best of all.........the nights Gram went bowling and we searched the house for the christmas cookies. We finally found them, and boy were they good. You have taught us all so much. You never thought of yourself.....you always put everyone before you, no matter what you had to sacrifice. You were the "ultimate family man". There are not enough words in the world to describe how I feel about you, and how much I am going to miss you. You instilled so many values and beliefs in us, I just hope that I can give my family what you have given to us. You are going to be missed by so many people. People whose lives you touched each and everyday. Go rest in peace.Love,Always & forever, Sheila, Kevin, Dylan & Murphy

Even though he's wasn't my blood relative he was considered as ""Grampa Walsh"". I spent most of my growing up years around them-swimming in the pool, many barbecues, and family functions. If Michele and I weren't hanging at her house we were at her grandparents house hanging by the pool. Thanks for the great memories and you will be greatly missed and always in my heart.

I just wanted to let you all know that your Dad was thought of as a Grandpa to more than just your children. Jason and Matt always referred to him as Grandpa Walsh and they will miss him & his encouraging words, always asking how is hockey going. They both learned how to swim in his pool and have many fond memories of your Dad &(MOM) and their hospitality always making us feel welcome in their home. Our thoughts are with all of you at this time and again thank you for sharing your wonderful dad with so many of us. Love to all, Janelle
