I was a member of NFD from 82 to 84 and will remember Joan for always being around the firehouse along with Bob. I remember the parades we all marched in and all of the fun times.Although I now reside in Minnesota my thoughts and prayers are with Robin and the family. As a past member of NFD- we are all still family and we'll all miss Joan & Bob. God Bless.

Joan will be deeply missed by her many friends and fellow-auxiliary members. She may have been small in stature but she was a great and powerful lady in her own way. It was a pleasure to know her and call her a friend and I will miss her. My prayers go to her family but I know they would not have wanted her to suffer a long and agonizing death.I regret I am unable to deliver these thoughts in person, but commitments which would be understood by Joan make it impossible. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.Karen Perkis

I have enjoyed working with Joan in the Auxiliary, parading with her, and IMing her on the computer. She has taught me a lot about people and not to be afraid to stand up for what you believe in--or saying what you really feel. Now she is with Bob, and I am sure they are starting a Bingo hall in Heaven. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. We love you Joan and will miss you very much.Sharon, Kevin, Stephen, and Jennifer Freeman
