Glenn Perrine

Obituary of Glenn Alan Perrine

Glenn was a wonderful, loving husband and father.  He loved his family and his work.  He graduated from Crestwood High School in 1959 and went on to receive a degree from Fenn College, Ohio in Electronics-Communications in 1963 as an honor student.  He continued his education at Cleveland State University where he excelled in analytic geometry, calculus, and principle of economics.  He became a programmer, installer and educator and worked for Systems Application Engineering Inc. for 35 years where he helped develop one of the first handheld computer reporting systems for the oil and gas industry.  He traveled to many places in the world to trouble shoot, implement and teach personnel which gave him much happiness.

Glenn had an interest in flying and received his private pilot’s license in 1968.  He also had an interest in photography and viseography which led him to film World Martial Arts Championships for his good friend Grandmaster JK Wong.  Also, his love for dogs led him to join Golden Beginnings Golden Retriever Rescue where he and his wife fostered and ultimately adopted 3 dogs of their own.  As a volunteer, he created a donation platform that was instrumental in getting substantial donations for the rescue.

Glenn died peacefully in his sleep after a well lived life.  He is survived by Lynn W. Perrine, his wife of 43 years, his brother Tom Perrine, his 2 children, Julie Jemela and Brian Perrine, their mother, Judy Carpenter Perrine, and his stepson, Nevile Taylor.
