Shirley M. Staffiero, age 78, of South Onondaga, New York, died Wednesday, January 9, 2002 at Van Duyn Home & Hospital, Syracuse. Mrs. Staffiero was born July 20, 1923 in Syracuse, New York, the daughter of Edwin and Evelyn (Hines) Brown. She attended Corpus Christi Church, South Onondaga and was a member of their Altar & Rosary Society. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Nicholas A. Staffiero; four daughters: Kim Reynolds from Camillus, New York, Dolores Zarcone from Silver Spring, Maryland, Diane Staffiero from Key West, Florida, Donna Werner from Minnesota; 1 son: Nicholas B. Staffiero from Chittenango, New York; 2 sisters: Elaine Brown from Liverpool, New York, Rita Kimble from Billings, Montana; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Funeral: Saturday, January 12, 2002, 11:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., LaFayette, with Father Dennis Hayes officiating. Spring Burial: St. Patrick's Cemetery, Otisco, New York.
