Obituary of Irma Halverson

Irma Halverson, age 78, died Monday, February 24, 2003 at Van Duyn Home & Hospital, Onondaga Hill, New York. Irma was born April 27, 1924 in Wickham, West Virginia, the daughter of Aden B. and Ella P. (Rowe) Phillips. She lived in California and most recently in Jamesville, New York. She was in retail and was also a home child care provider. Mrs. Havlerson is survived by her three daughters, Charlotte Coleman of Lovettsville, Virginia, Jane Kavanagh of Jamesville, New York and Nancy Kares of Citrus Heights, California; step daughter, Laura Nordyke of California; step son, Michael Halverson of California; two sisters, Glenna Godbey and Melba Rock both of West Virginia; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two step grandchildren. A Service of Memory will be held Saturday, March 1, 2003, 11:00 a.m. in First Baptist Church of Syracuse, 5833 E. Seneca Turnpike, Jamesville, New York with her son-in-law Pastor Scott Kavanagh officiating. Friends may call Saturday before the service from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the church.
