Obituary of Elsie J. Torkilson

Elsie J. Torkilson, age 83, formerly of Bernadine Apartments, Syracuse, New York, died Tuesday, May 13, 2003 at Loretto Cunningham Nursing Facility, Syracuse. Elsie was born August 5, 1919 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Jacob and Elsie (Paterson) Torkilson. She worked for over 30 years for Lighthouse Industry (for the blind) as an assembler. Elsie is survived by her twin sister, Joan M. Carey; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial was in Ocean View - The Cemetery Beautiful, Inc., Staten Island, New York. Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York, 13205.
