Obituary of Mary Cervo Martini

Mary Cervo Martini, age 102, of Syracuse, New York died on her birthday Sunday, June 29, 2003 at Van Duyn Home & Hospital, Onondaga Hill, New York. Mary was born June 29, 1901 in Canajoharie, New York, the daughter of Frank and Louise (Castaldi) Cervo. She was employed by Beachnut in Canajoharie and was a communicant of St. Peter & Paul Church in Canajoharie. She was an avid, award winning gardner, competing in all area fairs. She enjoyed cooking and baking. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Ferraro in 1939; her second husband, Leonard Martini in 1980; a son, Richard Ferraro in 2000. She is survived by two daughters: Louise Galvin of Syracuse, New York and Rosemary Ornelas of Oceanside, California; one brother, John Cervo of San Jose, California; eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren. Funeral: Wednesday, July 2, 2003, 10:00 a.m. in the Beatrice Latremore Room at Van Duyn Home & Hospital, 5075 West Seneca Turnpike, Syracuse, New York with Father Charles Aho officiating. Burial: Wednesday, July 2, 2003, 2:00 p.m. in St. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Canajoharie, New York with Father Kenneth Swain officiating.
