Obituary of Carleton H. Davis

Carleton H. Davis, Jr., age 73, a life long resident of The Valley died Tuesday, July 1, 2003 at Van Duyn Home & Hospital, Onondaga Hill, New York. Carleton was born September 15, 1929 in Syracuse, New York, the son of Carleton H. and Mildred S. (Holmes) Davis. He was a 1955 graduate of Alfred College. He was associated with the fire protection industry for 35 years, retiring in 1990. He was self employed as C. H. Davis Jr. Fire Protection and was previously employed by New York Fire Insurance Rating Organization. He was affiliated with various Masonic Orders and was a member of F&AM University Lodge #944 in Alfred, New York. He was a former member of Onondaga Valley Presbyterian Church and he was a devoted dog lover. Mr. Davis is survived by his wife of 39 years, Helen M. Legary Davis and his three loving pugs. Funeral: Saturday, July 5, 2003, 11:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York. Burial: Onondaga Valley Cemetery, 2500 Valley Drive, Syracuse, New York.
