Obituary of Marie Hogan OA?Shaughnessy

Marie Hogan O?Shaughnessy, age 91, of formerly of 209 Brookside Drive, Syracuse, New York, died Saturday, November 22, 2003 at Syracuse Home Association, Baldwinsville, New York. Marie was born January 23, 1912 in Oswego, New York, the daughter of James and Teresa (Gunther) Hanley. She graduated from Oswego State in 1933 and taught in West Monroe for seven years. She graduated from Crouse Irving School of Nursing in 1943 and retried from the Jewish Home of Central New York in 1977 as a Registered Nurse following 12 years of service. She had also previously worked as a Private Duty Nurse. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and a member of the Crouse Hospital Nurses Alumni Association. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Owen J. Hogan in 1970, her second husband, Norbert M. O?Shaughnessy in 1998 and a stepson, James O?Shaughnessy in 1993. Mrs. O'Shaughnessy is survived by her daughter, Ann M. Samonte of Jamesville, New York and daughter and son-in-law, Maureen and Michael Conway of Baldwinsville, New York; two grandsons, Adam Conway and Brian Conway both of Baldwinsville, New York; stepgranddaughter, Lori Wirth of Jamesville, New York; two stepgreat-granddaughters, Alyssa Wirth and Ericka Wirth of Jamesville, New York. Services: Tuesday, November 25, 2003, 9:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., and 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes, 300 Valley Drive, Syracuse where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Father Thomas Fitzpatrick.
