Obituary of William R. Dean

William R. Dean, 68 of Camillus, New York died Sunday, November 23, 2003 at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse, New York. William was born September 23, 1935 in Corning, New York. He was a graduate of Nottingham High School Class of 1953. He retired from Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Florida in Jacksonville, Florida after eight years of service as a systems analyst. He was previously employed by Alcan in Oswego, New York and Agway Corporation in Syracuse, New York. He was a communicant of St. James Church, a member of the Syracuse Jaycess, member and past president of the Oswego Jaycees and former president of the Hot Stove Association of Oswego. He was an avid bowler. William was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Maines in 1982 and his sister, Lucy Heckle on July 3, 2003. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Dorothy Warboy Dean; son and daughter-in-law, David M. and Terri Lee Dean of Camillus, New York; son, James W. Dean of Syracuse, New York; four daughters and their husbands, Susan L. and Kenneth Motyka of Westvale, New York, Deborah J. and Frank Cullen of Syracuse, New York, Amy E. and Gary Landers of Fairport, New York, Karen A. and Thomas Belge of Syracuse, New York; brother, Charles M. Dean of Marcellus, New York; 15 grandchildren. Services: Wednesday, November 26, 2003, 10:30 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., Syracuse and 11:00 a.m. in St. James Church, 4845 S. Salina Street, Syracuse where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Daniel J. O'Hara. Burial: Onondaga Valley Cemetery, 2500 Valley Drive, Syracuse, New York.
