To Glenn's family, you are not forgotten. In regards to the candle I lit on Dec 2(row 10 candle 2) I thought of Glenn the day of the test, I told you I was going to try to raise my grade in honor of Glenn and I did, from an 80 to a 95. I just thought you would like to know and remember that he is thought of often. Take care Nancy Vittorio

its taken me a few months to realize and understand what happened to glenn. he was a part of my life for almost ten years.i guess in some ways he still is. i thank god every day the last words i spoke to him were wishing him happiness in life. i know glenn was happy. he had a great job he was proud of, friends he could count on no matter what, and a best friend that told him she loved him every day. i know that glenn took happiness with him and he wouldn't want to see so much sadness left behind. he would snicker at everyone making such a big deal. i can smile and thank glenn for the parts of my life he was in, and remember that god has a greater plan for everyone.

I went to LHS with Glenn, we rode the same bus home everyday. I saw Glenn a few years ago at a survey we were both doing and he told me he was working for the ME office and his plans of being an officer. I told him that I could see he was headed in the right direction. He was so enthusiastic about it. I know he died doing what he lived to love. My prayers are with his family and his fiancee Lynda at this great time of loss. He will be missed. Thank you Glenn for your service and keeping us safe. The department lost a wonderful officer.

My thoughts are with his family. I never met him, as I serve in the Town of Mexico, but know how hard all deputies work. I often wonder how they can deal with some of the defendants they encounter.

Oh Almighty God, whose great power and eternal wisdom embraces the universe. Watch over all policemen and law enforcement officers. Father in Heaven please give them the strength, courage and perseverance to endure The unjust condemnation, danger, and physical abuse to which they are at times subjected. We recommend them to your loving care because their duty is dangerous. Dear God, grant these brave men and women your almighty protection, Unite them safely with their families after duty has ended. Amen

May God be with Glenn's family and friends during these sad days. What better way to remember your loved one than by the valor of his service to the community and to his fellow- man. Onondaga County will recall him gratefully for many years.

To Deputy Searles, My thoughts & prayers are with you and your family. I will be taking the Deputy Sheriff exam on Sat. 12/6/03, for the 2nd time, to try and raise my grade. I will give it my ALL in memory of you, even if we never met. But we will someday. To the family, I graduated L'pool high a year after Glenn, so maybe I passed him in the halls. I know you are very blessed to have had him in your lives even if it was for such a short time. May God bless everyone Dep. Searles has left behind and take comfort in knowing you will see him again.Sincerely, Nancy Vittorio

I Want You To Know A brief moment of darkness was all that I knew, before Heaven's Gate came into my view. Loved ones and friends I had missed for many years, welcomed me with open arms and many happy tears. All the hurt, fear and pain that I have ever known, is gone from my life, I am finally home. I gazed upon the Lord's sweet smiling face, and for the first time in my life I knew and felt His grace. I know that you miss me, but please dry your eyes. I will always be watching and loving you from my home in the sky. A cool breeze on your face, a touch of light rain, I will send as a reminder that we will be reunited again. Life on earth is but one brief moment in time, I am finally home, Eternity is mine.
