Obituary of John P. Tenhave

John P. Tenhave, 72, of Jamesville, New York died Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at home. John was born June 6, 1931 in Ontario, Canada, the son of Al and Marie (Oldorf) Tenhave. He moved to the Syracuse area in 1963. He attended St. Paul?s United Methodist Church on Valley Drive. He worked for Green Hills Farms from June 11, 1967 until August of 2003. John truly loved his job and the customers her served. He will always be remembered for the warm greeting and friendly smile he gave to everyone. John also enjoyed spending the past 31 summers at his camp at Forest Lake in Truxton, New York. He made many wonderful friends there, as well as creating many memories for his family. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his wife, E. Vivian "Viv" Tenhave on March 27, 1998. John is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Laurien K. and Bill Poirier of Jamesville, New York; three sons and daughters-in-law, Bradley A. and Judy Tenhave of Jamesville, New York, Gregory S. and Staci Tenhave of Endwell, New York, Scott A. and Letia Tenhave of Ingleside, Texas; one sister, Grace Hall of Simcoe, Ontario, Canada; nine grandchildren, two great-grandsons. Graveside Services: Saturday, January 17, 2004, 11:00 a.m. at Onondaga Valley Cemetery, 2500 Valley Drive, Syracuse, New York with Pastor Scott Kavanagh officiating.
