Obituary of Leontine B. Phillips

Leontine B. Phillips, 77, of Syracuse, New York died Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at home. Leontine was born November 20, 1926 in Syracuse, New York, the daughter of Clarence L. and Mildred E. (Wright) Smith. She was a 1944 graduate of Onondaga Valley Academy and a 1949 graduate of Albany College of Pharmacy. She was a Pharmacist for Murphy?s Drug Store, Van Duyn Home & Hospital and Upstate Medical Center, retiring in 1990. She was preceded in death by her son, David C. Harp Jr. in 1988, her second husband, George M. Phillips in 1991 and a brother, Harold S. Smith who died in action during World War II. She is survived by two daughters, Luaina M. Austin and Sally O'Donnell both of Syracuse, New York; two stepdaughters, Carol Achille of San Diego, California and Lorraine Quakenbush of Chesapeake, Virginia; one brother, James R. Smith of Grand Junction, Colorado; her first husband, David Harp Sr. of Phoenix, New York and six grandchildren.
