Obituary of Elizabeth Ryan-Beach

Elizabeth "Betty" Ryan-Beach, 81, of Clay, New York died Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse, New York. Elizabeth was born May 6, 1922 in Cadyville, New York, the daughter of Elmer and Julia (Bassett) Ryan. She was formerly the manager of The Cecile Center in the Valley, Syracuse, New York. She was a communicant of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, a member of American Legion Post 1468 Auxiliary and North Syracuse VFW Auxiliary. She was a very active volunteer with the American Cancer Society in Clay. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Beach in 1992 and a son, Joseph Beach in 2003. Betty is survived by a daughter, Carole (Joseph) Fiumara of Clay, New York; two sons, Ronald (Debra) Lushia of Walled Lake, Michigan and Charles Beach Jr. of Liverpool, New York; four sisters, Dorothy Carr and Ruth Ryan both of Plattsburgh, New York, Rita Ryan-Russell of Ontario, New York and Katherine Reiter of St. Louis, Missouri; one brother, Clarence Ryan of Albany, New York; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. Services: Saturday, January 24, 2004, 10:00 a.m. in Christ The King Church, Cherry Tree Circle, Liverpool, New York. Burial: Onondaga Valley Cemetery, 2500 Valley Drive, Syracuse, New York.
