Obituary of Jenny Madeleine Elisabeth Reiman

After a four-year struggle with ovarian cancer, Jenny passed away peacefully on February 21, 2004 at the home of her brother Robert and her sister-in-law Anne in LaFayette, New York. Jenny was born June 20, 1953 in Bronxville, New York, the daughter of Bernard O. and Madeleine H. (Praetorius) Reimann. Jenny was raised in White Plains, New York, attended White Plains High School and graduated from Skidmore College with a Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts in 1975. After college, she lived for three years in Como, Italy as a fabric designer for a well-known textile design firm. Jenny's career in the field of textile design, led her from the RBS Fabrics Ltd., which was founded by her father, to her most recent position at Transprint USA in New York City, both positions working with the design of fabric. Along with being extremely talented artistically and speaking four languages, Jenny enjoyed the ballet, jogging, antique collecting and kayaking. She will also be remembered for her love of animals, especially cats. Jenny is survived by her mother Madeleine Reimann, her aunt Elisabeth Praetorius and her brothers, Bernard, Peter, Robert, Eric and their families. Friends and family are invited to attend an afternoon of memories, Saturday, February 28, 2004, 1:00 p.m. at the Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home, 20 Cedar Street, Bronxville, New York. Jenny has requested donations be made to the New Rochelle Humane Society (914-632-2925) and "Just Strays" in Yonkers (914-423-2360). She will be deeply missed by all the lives that she touched.
