Obituary of Horace G. Reed

Horace G. Reed, age 86, of Buckwheat Road, Marietta, New York died Monday, February 23, 2004 at home. Horace was born January 1, 1918 in Syracuse, New York, the son of Albert and Marion (Smith) Reed. He attended South Onondaga School. He was a maintenance worker at Jaquith Industries, Inc., retiring in 1982 after 36 years. He enjoyed camping & fishing, especially for bass. Mr. Reed is survived by his wife of 57 years, the former Marion A. Wilson; two sons, Phillip A. Reed of Tully, New York and Steven L. (Jean) Reed of Otisco, New York; three sisters, Grace Reed of Camillus, New York, Mildred Brown of Onondaga Hill, New York and Edna Kraynak of Syracuse, New York; grandchildren, Scott (Lotta) Reed of Charlotte, North Carolina; Michael Reed of Buffalo, New York, John S. Hobart of Tully, New York, Joel, Abbie and Benjamin Reed all of Otisco, New York. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis A. Hobart in 1996 and a son, Raymond R. Reed in 1970. Services: Thursday, February 26, 2004, 11:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., LaFayette, New York.
