Obituary of Marcille I. Franz

Marcille I. Franz, age 79, of Elbridge, New York died Friday, February 27, 2004 at Community General Hospital, Onondaga Hill, New York. Marcille was born September 7, 1924 in Syracuse, New York, the daughter of Clarence and Pauline (Salmonsen) Houser. She was a life resident of Syracuse, except for the last eight years in Elbridge. She was a graduate of Valley High School and Richard Detota Cosmetology School. She was a hostess for many years in some of Syracuse?s finer restaurants, including the Coda Restaurant and the Three Rivers Inn. She was an officer in the Syracuse Women's Bowling Association, a member of Meritis, and a member of the local Bowlers Hall of Fame. She was a past president of the Women?s Classic Bowling League and a past All Events Syracuse City Champion. Her husband William E. Franz preceded her in death in 1987 after 31 years of marriage. Mrs. Franz is survived by her sister, Jennie Collins of Houston, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Michael Jennings of Pulaski, New York; two sons, Gordon W. Franz and his wife Cindy of Elbridge, New York and Lee Moulter of Syracuse, New York; four grandsons, two great-grandchildren, several nephews and cousins. Funeral Services: Tuesday, March 2, 2004, 11:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., Syracuse, New York. Burial: Onondaga Valley Cemetery, 2500 Valley Drive, Syracuse, New York. Calling Hours: Monday, March 1, 2004, 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York.
