Obituary of F. Madeline Flanagan

F. Madeline Flanagan, age 80, formerly of The Valley died Thursday, August 12, 2004 at Loretto in Syracuse, New York. Madeline was born May 13, 1924 in Carthage, New York, the daughter of Paul S. and Isabella (Ellison) Fikes. She was a graduate of Valley High School and a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. She retired from Marine Midland Bank after 15 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald J. Flanagan in 1984. Madeline is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Colleen and John Wells of Clearwater, Florida; one son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Trish Flanagan of Marcellus, New York; two sisters, Thelma Webert of Watertown, New York and Edna Vuillemot of Auburn, New York; two brothers, Bob Fikes of Baldwinsville, New York and Mark Fikes of Owensboro, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Kelly, Mandy, Shannon, Maureen, Katie and Ryan and one great granddaughter, Chelsea. Services: Saturday, August 14, 2004, 11:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes, 300 Valley Drive, Syracuse, New York where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Father Thomas Fitzpatrick and Bishop Thomas Costello.
