Obituary of Matthew William Tasker

Matthew William Tasker, age 19, of 221 Wetmore Road, Tullly, New York and formerly of LaFayette, New York, beloved son of Steven and Corinne (Parsons) Tasker and beloved brother of Bryan William Tasker, died Tuesday, August 17, 2004 as the result of an automobile accident. Matthew was born March 18, 1985 in Syracuse, New York. He was a 2003 graduate of LaFayette High School and was on the LaFayette Varsity Baseball team where he led the team as a Captain in his senior year. He also served as co-editor of the Lafayette High School Lancer yearbook. He was a student at Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts and was a percussionist with the Northeastern University Orchestra. He participated in the All-State Symphony Conference and was a member of Columbian Presbyterian Church in LaFayette. Surviving in addition to his parents and brother are maternal grandparents, Martha and Cortland Parsons of Coral Springs, Florida and Bridgeport, New York and paternal grandmother, Shirley Tasker of Pleasant Valley, New York. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Gerald Tasker. Services: Saturday, August 21, 2004, 3:00 p.m. in Columbian Presbyterian Church, Corner of Route 20 & Route 11, LaFayette with Rev. John Kloepfer officiating. Burial: LaFayette Rural Cemetery, Route 11, LaFayette, New York.
