John "Jack" Schofield, 78, of Syracuse, New York died Monday, November 15, 2004 at Loretto, Syracuse. John was born April 30, 1926 in Syracuse, New York the son of William and Hester (Manning) Schofield. He attended Vocational High School. He was employed by New York Telephone Co. for 39 years, retiring in 1987. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes, a member of Valley Men?s Club since 1965 and a Past President and a supporter of Valley Little League. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Jack is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Alice; two sons and their wives, J. Michael (Linda) Schofield of Syracuse, New York and John P. (Patty) Schofield of Ponder, Texas; 11 grandchildren, Joy, Ray, Jacob, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Abigail, Teresa, David, Amanda, J. Matthew and Naomi; one cousin, John Manning of Florida; several nieces and nephews. Services: Saturday, November 20, 2004, 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes, 300 Valley Drive, Syracuse, New York where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Father Thomas Fitzpatrick. Burial with Military Honors: Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 4069 Howlett Hill Road, Syracuse, New York.
