To Susan and all of her lovely family:Ray, as you know, has touched many, many lives. Other than being the world's greatest Family Man, he was a mentor, a friend, and an inspiration to many in the AA Community. Ray used to tell us, "You got to talk about it to take the power out of it". We've heard many people quote his wonderful pieces of wisdom. We all will miss Ray's wonderful smile, his stories and his laugh and the way he would greet you like you were the most important person in the room. I'm sure God rolled out the red carpet when Ray arrived at the pearly gates. Ray - you will be very, very, very much missed, but our fond and warm memories of you and remembering all you have done for so many will always be remembered and savored. Thank you for being an important part of our lives.Glenn and Mindy Ferguson

"No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend's or of thine own were: any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee."- John Donne

Ray was a wonderful friend. I will remeber the many times I thought I had a problem to sit with him in "The Barn"to talk while people would stop to chat as they drove down the Valley road. I will always remeber how those major problems would go away. The time he spent teaching Andrew to Drive the "H" or helped Jay with his shooting. His moderating the girls playing with Amanda. It is amazing how he brought serenity to those rides he always had ging to church in Fabius or in Tully The many hours spent while he talked to the world at the Stop and Shop at the corner in Tully. His family has suffered a great loss as have all of us who where blessed to know him. We missed you though did not tell you enough my friend. We are saddened by your loss Sue.Love Al, Andrew Jay and Amanda Runyon

When I am GoneWhen I am gone release me and let me go. I have too many things to see and do. You must not tie yourself to me with tears. Be thankful for our wonderful years. I gave to you my love, you can only guess . . . how much you gave to me in happiness. I thank you for the love you have shown, but now it's time I travelled on alone. So grieve a while for me if grieve you must. Then let your grief be comforted by trust. It's only for a time that we must part, so bless the memories within your heart. I won't be far away, for life goes on. So if you need me call, and I will come. Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near. And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear. All my love around you soft and clear. And then when you must pass this way alone, I'll greet you with a wag and say "Welcome Home!"

I can't seem to stop the ""Ray Slide Show"" that is running through my head the last few days. Here's a great one that caught him off guard a few months ago. I was working and stopped in late at the Amber meeting, there were tons of people, including this guy who was asked to lead the Lords Prayer at the end. Ray was outside doing something and I was by the door. When he came back in I thought he was going to fall over because the guy was literally singing the Lords Prayer like he was in the Opera or something (caught all of us off guard), Ray fell in next to me and after what seemed like an eternity he whispers to me ""What the F is this, what the heck is he doing?"" I couldn't stop laughing because I've never seen Ray speechless. I'll miss our 3-4 hour long spur of the moment meetings we alway had. He was a great man and helped me out more than anyone could imagine. Thanks Ray!

The Harrington family is one of the most kind and gracious families I know. From my experiences teaching some of the Harrington children at school, I have witnessed the results of Raymond's and Susan's caring. Raymond's children honor him in the polite and respectful way they treat others. May the strength of Raymond's family help the them to understand and cope with the death of a great man. God Bless Raymond and his loved ones.

Raymond Harrington(Sonny) was many things to many peolple, he was a husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, to me he was an uncle. He was one of the best uncles around, he had a lot of good stories that would make you laugh untill you cried. He also had a lot of love to give and he definitley shared his love with everyone he met. But most important of all he loved Jesus and I know that he is in heaven with the Lord and his glory for eternity. My sympathy goes out to Sue & the girls, May God see you through these hard times. My prayers are with the Harrington family.Love Tammie

The last time I saw Ray he was doing something very characteristic;by dint of his humor and storytelling he was calming the anxieties of a new patient and giving the rest of us a respite fom our own demons..more than one patient scheduled their appointments to coincide with Rays;he was always up;he never let his audience down ever..the good he did,the people he caught at a low ebb and inspired to just keep on going a while longer are incalculable;there were many..he will be very sorely missed but will live forever in our hearts and minds..a fine man and a fine friend,a humble man who was as skilled a healer as I've ever met..happy trails, dear frend;you certainly brightened ours...

Mr. Harrington was the funniest person I knew when he told a joke, even if it wasn't that funny it made you laugh because he did it in a funny way. I feel bad for the whole Harrington family, I wish there was something I could do to help. I want to tell Kate and Abby I hope they both feel a little better. The first time I saw him when he got back from the hospital, I thought he felt better but still not up to full energy. I would like Mrs.Harrington to hang in there, we are thinking of her. I hope Annie and Megan feel better too. your friends, THE BECKS (this includes the dog and Rabbits)
