Obituary of Matthew Anthony Sinesi

Matthew Anthony Sinesi, age 84, of Syracuse, New York, died Saturday, February 5, 2005 at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Syracuse. Matthew was born June 9, 1920 in Cortland, New York, the son of Robert Albert and Lena (Fabrizio) Sinesi. He was a graduate of Onondaga Valley Academy, a 50 year member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen Union and he retired from SAL Masonry in 1986. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving with the Seabees in the Pacific Theater. Matt is survived by his wife of 48 years, Gloria D. Bumpus Sinesi; one daughter, Virginia Marie Sinesi of Syracuse, New York; two sons and their wives, Pastor Sanford C. and Mary Sinesi of Syracuse, New York and Robert M. and Carol Sinesi, Esq. of Syracuse, New York; two sisters, Carol Guesno of Perry, New York and Florence Thomaszewski of Syracuse, New York; 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Services: Tuesday, February 8, 2005, 1:00 p.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York with Pastor Sanford Sinesi officiating.
