Obituary of Ruby M. Smith

Ruby M. Smith, age 103, died Saturday, February 26, 2005 at St. Camillus Health & Rehabilitation Center, Syracuse, New York. Ruby was born September 23, 1901 in Montreal Canada, the daughter of Harry and Sarah (Poulin) Smith. She retired from Spencer Dry Cleaners in Syracuse as a manager after many years of service. A great lady, she loved Bingo and most sports, including tennis and bowling which she quit at the age of 99. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Scott Smith in 1972 and a daughter, Mary Margaret Liccioni in 1976. Ruby is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law, Margaret L. Keyser of Liverpool, New York and Audrey Smith (Howard) Stryker of Savannah, Georgia; son son and daughter-in-law, Charles Vincent (Gloria) Rochon of Dewitt, New York; one sister, Rita Fralick of Canandaigua, New York; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren, several great-great-great-grandchildren, numerours nieces and nephews. Funeral Service: Tuesday, Marcy 1, 2005, 1:00 p.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse with Vicor Naomi Sorrwar officiating. Burial: Onondaga Valley Cemetery, 2500 Valley Drive, Syracuse, New York.
