Obituary of Bernard N. Donegan

Bernard N. "Bernie" Donegan, age 90, formerly of Brighton Towers in Syracuse, New York, died Thursday, April 21, 2005 at Loretto in Syracuse. Bernard was born July 26, 1914 in Syracuse, New York, the son of Nicholas and Dorothy (Emmerick) Donegan. He was a life resident of Syracuse and retired from Suter & Son Construction Company as a truck driver following many years of service. He was a communicant of both St. James Church and St. Lucy's Church. He enjoyed listening to any and all types of music. He was predeceased by his son, Richard N. Donegan who died in 1968. Surviving are his wife of 67 years, the former Dorothy M. Moore; one daughter and son-in-law; Dorothy and Bill Flanagan of Syracuse, New York; three sons and daughter-in-law; Robert L. and Cathy Donegan of Liverpool, New York, Jack Donegan of Liverpool, New York and Daniel Donegan of Syracuse, New York; five sisters, Arlene Suter, Betty Moss, Mary Jane Kraushaar and Norma Thater all of Syracuse, New York and Jeannie Sweeting of Tully, New York; 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Services: Monday, April 25, 2005, 9:00 a.m. in St. James Church 4845 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York. Burial: Onondaga Valley Cemetery, 2500 Valley Drive, Syracuse, New York.
