Obituary of John P. Raspitha

John Peter Raspitha, age 44, life resident of Syracuse, New York, died Friday at home. John was born August 7, 1960 in Syracuse, New York, the son of Donald and Maureen (Saunders) Raspitha. He was employed as a shop forman at Giarosso Sheet Metal for 22 years. He loved swimming, camping and riding tandem bicycles with his son, John Peter II. He was an avid lover of all sports. John is survived by his wife of 20 years, the former Susan L. Jarrett; one son, John Peter Raspitha II, of Syracuse, New York; his mother, Maureen Raspitha of Syracuse, New York; two sisters, Marian Ross of Jacksonville, Florida and Maureen Raspitha of Syracuse, New York; one brother, Paul Raspitha of Ogdensburg, New York. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald in 1995 and a sister, Elaine in 1975.
