Obituary of Gerald P. Schad

Gerald P. Schad, Sr., age 59, of Southwood, New York, died Friday, June 17, 2005 at home following a courageous 10 years battle with emphysema. Gerald was born July 20, 1945 in Syracuse, New York, the son of Frank and Mary (Ginnan) Schad. He was was a graduate of Jamesville Dewitt High School Class of 1963. He retired from Bristol Labs in 1986 after 20 years and he owned and operated Associated Appliance Repair for several years. He was a communicant of St. Mary?s Church and a former member of Southwood Vol. Fire Dept. Gerald is survived by his wife of 38 years, the former Linda J. Lemke; two daughters and their husbands, Lisa and John Donegan of Southwood, New York and Brenda and Michael DiMaria of Clay, New York; one son and his wife, Gerald P. and Barbara Schad Jr. of Jamesville, New York; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Mary Lou Milks of Southwood, New York and Dorothy and Russell Burlingame of Jamesville, New York; four brothers and their wives, Frank and Linda Schad Jr. of Southwood, New York, James Schad of Southwood, New York, Arthur and Shelly Schad of Marion, Ohio and Richard and Joan Schad of Brewerton, New York; 10 grandchildren, Nichole, Michael, Jacob, Heather, Amber, Sadie, Halie, Claudia, Cameron and Madeline; numerous nieces, nephews and his devoted dog, Molly. He was predeceased by a brother, John "Jack" Schad. Services: Tuesday, June 21, 2005, 10:15 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home and 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 6437 E. Seneca Turnpike, Jamesville, New York where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Father John Finnegan. Burial: St. Mary's Cemetery, 4100 E. Genesee Street, Dewitt, New York.
