Obituary of Edith Hobson Clark

Edith Hobson Clark, 98, formerly of "The Valley" in Syracuse, New York died Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at Loretto in Syracuse. Edith was born August 12, 1906 in Syracuse, New York, the daughter of Reuben R. and Ida (Hayden) Hobson. She was employed as a secretary with Syracuse China way back when it was called Onondaga Pottery. Edith loved her family and friends and loved to entertain. She was known for walking her beloved Collie dogs in the Valley area. She was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church and active with the Church Guild. She was a member of Valley VIP'S, Onondaga Hill Senior Citizens, a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and Jail Ministries. Edith was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Clark who died in 1975. Surviving are her son Kenneth (Jonathan) Clark of Westlake Village, California; three grandsons, Dennis, David and Daniel Clark; one great-grandson, Brandon Clark; one nephew, Tom Lee; two nieces, Janet Clark Armstrong and Virginia Lee Taylor. Services: Saturday, June 25, 2005, 10:00 a.m. in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 5012 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York. Burial: St. Mary's Cemetery, 4100 E. Genesee Street, DeWitt, New York.
