Dear Kathleen and family, I am very sorry for the loss of your dad. If I had heard sooner, I would have attended the services. I really didn't know your dad to well but I knew you and Elizabeth and he must have done allot of things right because you were always the smartest one in the class! Boy was I proud when I got an answer before you! It didn't happen very often but every once in a while, Phil Scibilia or myself put you in your place. One thing I do remember about your dad-I think a few times he stole my soup labels before my dad could get them from Campbell's diner. I think we were the Campbell soup label king and queen right!! But that's ok, it was all for the same cause! I actually lost my dad a few months ago and I know how difficult it is. I want you and your family to know that you will all be in my prayers. He is in your mind and in your heart and will always be with you. It is amazing what I hear myself telling my children. Many of the same things I was told as a child. You can't help but think of your parents. I am sure it is the same for you. Unfortunately, many of those things have to do with-go to your room, or go to bed early or sit time out or hearing my wife say "do you want me to call your father in here?" Boy that one hits home--when I heard my mom say that, I knew it was my last chance before big trouble! Just continue to teach your kids with the same morals and ethics that you were taught by your dad and you will forever see him. Sorry for all the rambling on. I'm just typing as I feel it! Again, I am very sorry and you are all in my prayers.Joe

Don was a very special man/father. I admire his courage he had shown over the last year, always keeping his sense of humor. I'm happy I was able to get to know him with visits on my front porch.

To the Johnson family:My deepest sympathy goes to you regarding the loss of your father. He was a very kind man and I have some fond memories of Paul, your dad and myself playing golf. Your dad would comment that I had a sweet swing. He had a wonderful sense of humor and he will be missed. Again sorry for your loss.

We only met him once and he was a very sweet and sincere man. We know his daughter Elizabeth and she is a wonderful person who passes on his sincerity, compassion and humanity for life. One could only wish to be able to meet and know a man of his character who raised such a sweet and caring lady. Our prayers are with his family and loved ones, especially Elizabeth and Gregg, Kenny and Bradley. God bless them all.
