Obituary of Donald Edward Demperio

Donald E. Demperio, age 70, of Syracuse, New York, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2005 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Syracuse. He was a resident of Vivian Teal Howard Nursing Home in Syracuse. Donald was born February 26, 1935 in the Town of Onondaga, New York, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Thomas and Mary (Bernard) Demperio. He was a graduate of Solvay High School and served in the Army during the Koren War. He retired from the Syracuse City School District. He was a member of DAV and he enjoyed and loved everyone at the VA Hospital. Most of all he was a proud and devoted father, grandfather and friend to many. "THE DIPPER" is survived by his two sons and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Demperio of Jamesville, New York and Christopher and Marie Demperio of Solvay, New York; one brother, Thomas Demperio of Seminole, Florida; two sisters, Joan Carrol of Pinnellis Park, Florida and Sandy Conchas of Phoenix, Oregon; granddaughter, Elizabeth Bullard (Jeffrey's daughter); grandchildren and Godchildren, Sonia, Maria, AJ, and (best buddy) Brandon (Christopher and Marie's children); many cousins, nephews and nieces. Memorial Service and Burial: Monday, October 17, 2005, 10:00 a.m. at Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 4069 Howlett Hill Road, Syracuse, New York with Reverend Jeanne Moore officiating.
