Ruth E. O?Donnell Sangster, 89, life resident of Syracuse, New York, died Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at Loretto in Syracuse. Ruth was born May 2, 1916 in Syracuse, New York, the daughter of John and Ruth (Graver) O'Donnell. She was an Administrative Assistant for the City Of Syracuse, retiring after 20 years. She loved sewing, gardening and cooking. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roderick Sangster in 1994. Ruth is survived by her five daughters, Ann Currie of Margate, Florida, Barbara J. Warner of Syracuse, New York, Susan F. McSally of Onondaga Hill, New York, Ruth E. (Bill) Nugent of Portsmouth, New Hampshire and Ellen K. (Fred) Funck of Marcellus, New York; one son, John (Catherine) Sangster of Onondaga Hill, New York; two sisters, Margaret Casselle of Syracuse, New York and Josephine Neidhardt of LaFayette, New York; 27 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
