Obituary of Gordon Fraser MacLeod

Gordon Fraser "Scottie" MacLeod, 81, of Almond Street, Syracuse, New York, died Friday, December 9, 2005 at VA Medical Center in Syracuse. Gordon was born September 27, 1924 in Ontario, Canada, the son of Kenneth D. and Christie M. (MacMaster) MacLeod. He was employed by Kennecott Copper Corp. in New York City and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was predeceased by his wife, Birdie A. Sykes MacLeod in 1989. He is survived by his brother, Ian MacLeod of Charlottsville, Virginia; three nieces, Diana Seay of Charlottesville, Virginia and Jane Keenan of Maryland and Constance Flagg, Los Angeles, California; one nephew, Gordon MacLeod of Miami, Florida; his closest, dearest friends, Dionetta Copes, Janie Copes and Beulah Haygood all of Syracuse, New York. Funeral Service: Friday, December 16, 2005, 1:00 p.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 4069 Howlett Hill Road, Syracuse, New York.
