Obituary of Lenora Jones

Lenora Jones, 88, of Syracuse, passed away on July 10. She was born in Buffalo, NY in 1934 to the late Harry and Julia (Gray) Confer. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and relaxing with a glass of wine, or a cold beer. Lenora was an excellent cook- known for her weekend Spaghetti.

Along with her parents, she is predeceased by: her husband of 63 years, Arthur Jones, Sr.; sons, Kirk and Arthur "Tubby" Jr.; and great grandson, Michael Burden. Surviving are her children: Vern (Shirley, predeceased), Jamie (Karen) Jones, David Steeprock, and Wanda (Patrick) Rommevaux; 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 20, from 10 am to 12 Noon, at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Syracuse. Burial will take place at Onondaga County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Chapel on Wednesday July 27 at 1 pm.
