Obituary of Eleanor June

Mary Eleanor June, 75, of Syracuse, passed away on Wednesday, January 13^th, peacefully at Loretto nursing home.  Eleanor was born and raised in Syracuse and graduated from St. Patrick's Catholic School. Her great laugh was infectious, and brought joy to everyone around her.  After raising her 3 children, she worked 15+ years in the Green Hills bakery, retiring in 2013. Gardening was her passion, and her yard was the envy of the neighborhood. She was a proud member of St. Andrew's Church where she taught kindergarten Sunday school for over 25yrs. 

She was predeceased by her loving husband Charles June in 2012.  She is survived by her 3 children; Christine (Donny) Sumrall of Cocoa Fl, Bonnie (John) French of Otisco, and Michael (Sarah) June of Camillus.  One brother, William (Linda) Gasser of Maryland. Grandchildren Joe (Natasha) Petrie, Nikki (Charles) Beurmann, Robert (Aubree) Petrie, Samantha Tracy, Michaela Tracy, Paul Tracy, Gabriel June,  and 7 great grandchildren. 

Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 20^th from 4 to 7 PM at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina St., Syracuse, NY 13205. Private services will be Thursday, January 21st at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Onondaga Valley Cemetery. 

Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Central New York.
