Obituary of Stephanie Joan Barclay

Stephanie Joan Barclay, 85, of Syracuse, New York, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, May 11, 2018 at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born in 1933 to Raymond and Stephanie (Sciba) Surowick.  Living in Syracuse all her life, Stephanie married Richard Barclay in 1953. Stephanie was a homemaker and enjoyed decorating cakes, sewing and crafting. Her infectious smile and inviting personality will be greatly missed. 

She is predeceased by her husband Richard Barclay. 

Stephanie is survived by her children, Susan (Jim) Farrell, Phillip (Susan) Barclay, Steven Barclay (Gretchen Onderdonk), Timothy (Lydia) Barclay, Diane (Len) Frost and Kristen (John) Reardon; 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. 

There will be calling hours from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York 13205. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 in Our Lady of Hope, 4845 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York, with burial to follow in Onondaga County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.
