Obituary of Sheldon P. Amo

Sheldon P. Amo, 71, of Jamesville, NY, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday after a hard fought 13 year battle against cancer.  Sheldon retired in 2002 from New Process Gear after 30 years of service.  His favorite things in life were his wife, his Harley, his John Deere, wearing PJ’s, traveling, and going to Rustin’s Diner for breakfast; not necessarily in that order.

He was predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Claire Amo, and a brother, Ernest, Jr.  He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Suzanne (Kocyla) Amo; favorite sister-in-law, Judy (Byron) Kocyla; a special aunt, June Amo; uncle, Charles Lesser; and several cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at LaFayette Rural Cemetery.  Friends and family are invited to call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 2584 Field Lane, LaFayette, NY 13084.
