VIrginia Pelsue

Obituary of VIrginia Brennan Pelsue

Virginia (Jinnie) Brennan Pelsue, 85, of Onondaga Hill, passed away Friday June 2nd at St. Joseph’s hospital due to complications from congestive heart failure and kidney disease. Born in Boylston NY, she lived a life that was full of adventures and caring for others. She was married to Ivor S. Pelsue for 51 years before his passing in 2009. She was a firm believer in education and returned to school to become a Registered Nurse in her thirties and then earning her master’s degree in Nursing. She worked as an emergency department nurse for many years and retired from Communty (Upstate) hospital. She traveled the world with the Visiting Nurses organization teaching nursing protocols in underserved areas. Her compassion, caring and selflessness were never more evident than when she guided her husband, her son Matt and her daughter Debbie through difficult life ending illnesses. Her tireless dedication to her family was remarkable. More recently, nothing made her happier than seeing pictures and hearing stories about her great-grandchildren. Jinnie is survived by two sons, Douglas S. (Grace) Pelsue and T.J. (Audra) Pelsue, both of Syracuse; her brother Jack (Kip) Brennan, her sister Judy Brennan; four grandchildren, Nicole (Rob) Fox, Brittany (Diamond) Pelsue, Taylor (Ricky) Sterling and Matthew Pelsue; as well as her four prized great-grandchildren, Caleb, Liam, Maisie and Rayla. Jinnie was predeceased by her father and mother, John and Elsie (Ingersoll) Brennen, her brother Richard (Trilby) Brennan, her husband Ivor S. Pelsue and most regrettably her son Matthew Pelsue and her daughter Deborah Pelsue. In her continued quest to help others Jinnie has donated her body to SUNY Upstate Medical University for medical research and training. Per her wishes, there will be no calling hours and final services will be private. A memorial mass will be held at a later date. Please light a candle in memory of Jinnie at www.ballweg-lunsford.com
