Obituary of Roberto Vega

 Roberto Vega 67, has been called home by the Lord on December 18, 2022.

He was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico to Daniel & Antonia Vega (both deceased). The family relocated to Syracuse, New York when he was 7 years old. He attended Syracuse City schools.  After graduating he enlisted in the National Guard where he served for 10 yrs.

Roberto retired from the Syracuse City Fire Dept. He was an avid sports fan. Roberto especially loved the New York Giants.

He was co-pastor of Northside Hispanic Ministry.

He is survived by his loving wife Rafaela Sanchez Vega, 2 Sons, Roberto Vega, Jr. & Anicasio (Nacho) Sanchez. 4 grandchildren, Isaiah, Alysia, Julia, Jasmine and 7 great grandchildren. 2 Sisters & 6 Brothers, Amelia Vega Mendez, Victor M. (Mirta) Vega, Jose R. Vega, Nilda Vega Bague, Rey F.(Kelly) Vega, Antonio Vega, Daniel Vega Jr. & Javier Colon. Many nieces & nephews.

Calling hours & service will be Thursday, December 22, 6:00pm-9:00 pm at Northside Hispanic Ministry, 343 Green Street, Syracuse, 13203.

Burial will be Friday, December 23 at 10:00 am at Onondaga Valley Cemetery, Syracuse, New York.
