Benjamin A. Agostini, age 83, of 401 Clarence Avenue, Syracuse, New York, died Friday, November 2, 2001 at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse. Mr. Agostini was born in Standish, New York, the son of Albert and Antonia (Vescera) Agostini. He served in the Air Force during World War II. He was employed by New York Telephone as a cable splicer. He was a member of Valley Men?s Club and Telephone Pioneers of America. He was a communicant of St. James Church and a member of its choir. Mr. Agostini was also a volunteer at Green Hills Farms Store where the fish department was named "Benjamin's Pier" after him. He is survived by: His wife of 54 years: Peggy Warner Agostini from Syracuse, NY 3 daughters: Bonita A. Lairson from New Mexico, Paula Seamans from Mesa, AZ, Lisa Stewart from Syracuse, NY, 1 son: Ben Agostini II from Syracuse, NY 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, The funeral will be held Monday, November 5, 2001, 10:30 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home and 11:00 a.m. in St. James Church, 4845 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Father Daniel J. O'Hara. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt. Calling hours will be Sunday, November 4, 2001 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York, 13205.
