Obituary of Francis A. Dunford

Francis A. Dunford, age 84, died Monday, November 19, 2001 at Community General Hospital, Onondaga, New York. Mr. Dunford was born in Syracuse, New York, March 20, 1917, the son of Percy and Mary (Seiver) Dunford. He previously lived at 201 Lynch Avenue, Syracuse before moving to Van Duyn Home & Hospital. Mr. Dunford was a machinist at Crouse Hinds in Syracuse. He served in the Army from 1942 to 1945 during World War II and received a Bronze Star. He is survived by: 2 daughters: Cindy Shippers from Syracuse, New York and Jocelyn Weissman from Baltimore, Maryland 1 step daughter: Kathleen Dunford From Augusta, Maine 1 step son: Michael Qualtiere from Boston, Massachusetts 1 sister: Althea Dunford from California 6 grandchildren Services will be held December 4, 2001, 11:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York 13205 with Rev. Sung Kim officiating. Calling hours will precede the services from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Jamesville-Avery Cemetery, Jamesville, New York.
