Kenton Crofoot

Obituary of Kenton Douglas Crofoot

Kenton D. Crofoot, 74, of Syracuse, passed away on July 5, 2021. He was born in May 1947 in Syracuse, to the late Ralph and Norma (Metzger) Crofoot. After graduating from Central High, he went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education from Parsons College in Fairfield, Iowa. For most of his career, he worked as an electrician, and owned Kenton D. Electric for 20 years.

Ken bravely fought a battle against Leukemia over the past year. He was an observer of life, a talented artist with a quiet sense of humor, and a gentle soul. He was a humble, but very good golfer. Ken enjoyed dancing- which is how Glenda met and fell in love with him.

Along with his parents, Ken is predeceased by: brother, Gary Crofoot; daughter, Amber Crofoot; and granddaughter Anna DiNiro. He is survived by: his wife, Glenda Pates-Crofoot; foster son, Brandon Silkworth; cousins, Cheryl Crofoot Pede, Philip Metzger; along with many other friends and family.

There are no services at this time. There will be a future celebration of Ken’s life. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to a charity of your choice. A special thanks to all the medical staff for their care, and to all the family and friends for their support.
