Obituary of Lawrence P. Franz

Lawrence "Dogman" P. Franz, 63, of Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, April 29, 2020.  

He was born to Lawrence F. Franz and Marie (Wenborne) Franz.  He was a lifelong resident of Syracuse.  He attended St. Anthony of Padua School until their closing before his Senior Year.  He graduated from Corcoran High School in 1974.  He worked at Community General Hospital for 37 years and retired in 2013.  He enjoyed playing guitar, SU Sports, was a "Foodie", enjoyed following politics and above everything else loved spending time with his family.  He was fiercely loyal, loved with his whole heart and could make anyone smile.  

He is predeceased by his parents Lawrence F. and Marie W. Franz; brothers, Daniel and Edward Franz. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Vicki Franz; son, Eric (Tiffany Humphrey) Franz; daughter, Michelle (Joseph Boellmann) Franz; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; his beloved dog, Una; siblings, sister, Kathleen (Bennie) M.  Saldana;  brothers, Stephen L. (Linda) Franz, Joseph (Carol) E. Franz;  Matthew C. (Patricia) Franz  James R. Franz; aunts and uncles, Joan and Charles Franz, and Carol Franz; and several nieces and nephews.
