Obituary of Kevin H. Carter

Kevin H. Carter, 63, of Pompey, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 22nd at home with his family by his side.

Kevin was born on April 25th,1956, in Syracuse to Helen (Reynolds) Carter and the late Robert Carter. He graduated from Fabius-Pompey. Kevin was employed by Hull-Hazard, C.O. Falter, and for the last 30 years co-owned and operated Carter Excavation with his brother, Gary.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Barbara (Heffernan) Carter; his children Nicole (Thomas) Schuh, Kayla Carter, and Keith Carter; his mother Helen Carter, his siblings Susan Carter, Robert (Kim) Carter, Gary (Linda) Carter, and David Carter; his grandchildren Alyssa, Liam, Ella, Gema, Maya, and Lana; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Kevin enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, archery, gardening, the outdoors, and spending time with his grandchildren and friends. He was a hard worker and always willing to lend a helping hand.

There will be a memorial service held on Sunday, March 1st at 2pm at Immaculate Conception Church in Pompey, followed by a celebration of life at the Pompey Rod and Gun Club. There will be a spring burial at Fabius Evergreen Cemetery.
