Obituary of Marion E. Gibson

Marion E. Gibson, 90, of Syracuse, passed away on February 22, 2020; at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in 1929 in Jordan, NY, to the late William and Florence (Becker) Miller.

After high school, she got married and raised eight children. She worked for many years at Patrick’s Cleaners Downtown. Marion was devoted to raising her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Family always came first; but she definitely enjoyed her down time.

Marion is survived by her children: Don (Mary) Taylor; Robert Taylor, Winona (Chuck) Davis, Mark (Kathy) Gibson, Wayne (Charisse) Gibson, Dawn (Kevin) Banks, Bonnie (Rhonda Jones) Gibson, Mike (Shannon) Gibson; 21 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home in Syracuse, on Tuesday February 25, 2020, from 9 am to 12 Noon; with a funeral service to immediately follow. Interment will take place at Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
