Obituary of Janine M. Ferris

Janine M. Quinn Ferris, 89, of Syracuse passed away peacefully on Monday, February 10th at Peregrine Senior Living.

 Janine was a 1948 graduate from Valley High School.  She attended business school where she received a degree in Bookkeeping.  Janine was a loving mother and friend to many. She retired after 25 years serving Our Lady of Lourdes Church where she was a communicant and a member of The Altar Rosary Society.  She spent her retirement with family and friends, spending winters in Myrtle Beach and traveling with Father Mannara’s Church Group. 

She is predeceased by her parents, Carl & Jeanne Gardner; brothers, Teddy, Robert and Jack Gardner; first husband, John A. Quinn Jr.; daughters, Denise Dever and Michele Quinn Romano. She is survived by her loving husband, Warren Ferris; children, David (Deborah) Quinn, Ronald Quinn, Patrice David; stepchildren, Glenn Ferris and Elaine (Dana) Imeson. Janine & Warren had 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a nephew.

Calling Hours will be Saturday, February 22nd, 10:30AM to 12 noon at Our Lady of Hope, 4845 S. Salina St., Syracuse, NY 13205. Funeral Mass will follow at 12 noon.  Spring burial will take place at St. Agnes Cemetery.
