Obituary of Warren L. Shetler
Warren Lloyd Shetler, 96, of Tully passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. He was a World War II veteran. He was born in South Onondaga but lived most of his life in Tully Valley where he raised his family. He co-founded and operated LaFayette Well Drilling with his brother-in-law, Howard Shute, drilling water wells for 11 years. He later retired from Salisbury Fire Equipment in 1986.
He is predeceased by his parents, Lloyd and Anna, his brothers, Casper and Gordon, his sister, Eunice (Johnson), and the love of his life, Ruth (Shute) Shetler. He is survived by his children, Cheryl (James) Paccia of Marietta; Paul of Tully; Jane (Bruce) Diehl of Verona Beach; and Douglas (Amy) of Tully. He has 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 1 more on the way. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Calling hours will be at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Field Lane, LaFayette, NY on Wednesday, November 13 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral service will be at the Columbian Presbyterian Church, Rts 11 & 20, LaFayette, NY. on Thursday November 14 at 10 am.
