Obituary of John Meyers

John Robert Meyers, 77, passed away August 29, 2019 at The Centers at St. Camillus in Syracuse, NY. John was born in Syracuse, NY, the son of the late Robert and Ruth (Davis) Meyers. John worked for 40 years at Beak and Skiff Apple Farm in Lafayette, NY. He enjoyed working with his Bees as well as hunting, fishing and was a huge NASCAR fan. Was a shade tree mechanic when they made cars you could actually work on at home. John enjoyed spending time with his family.

John was predeceased by his father, Robert B. Meyers in 1997 and mother Ruth I. Meyers in 2012. John is survived by his wife of 57 years Diane E. (Schultz) Meyers and four children, Richard (Diane) Meyers of Union Springs, Kathy (Russell) Brown of Marietta, Lori (Scott) Proper of Marietta, and David (Tina) Meyers of Baldwinsville, as well as 11 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. John's siblings are Linda (Ronald) Schultz of Syracuse, Richard (Suzanne) Meyers of North Syracuse, NY, Thomas (Juli) Meyers of San Diego, Ca. and Christine (Kenneth) Zacharias of Boise, Id. There will be no calling hours. Family will gather in private at the Family Home in South Onondaga to celebrate John's life.
