Obituary of Donald Raymond Kendall

Donald “Don” Raymond Kendallage 79, of Tully, New York, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018comforted by his wife at his home. He was a cherished husband, father, and grampy. 
 
Don was born to the late William and Goldie-Mae Kendall, October 13, 1938, in New CastleIndiana. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the US Air Force, serving as a radar technician for four years at a variety of duty stations. He married Meg in 1973, and they lived together in Bloomfield New York, where they raised two children. He was employed throughout the electronics, and technology industries, ultimately retiring from Xerox as a production test technician in 2003. Don spent most of his time caring for his beloved home in Bloomfield, and working in his vegetable garden. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and puttering in his wood workshop building furniture and clocks. 

 

Don is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Margaret (Meg) Haines KendallHis younger sister Nancy Faurote, along with children; Jennifer (Brandon) Whitworth, and William (Susan) Kendall. He also leaves to cherish his memory three grandchildren; Landon Kendall, Rose Kendall, and Abby Whitworth. His children remember him as a devoted father who could build, fix, or invent nearly anything for them.  

He was preceded in death by James Kendall(Brother). 

 

The Family would like to express our sincere gratitude for the wonderful care, prayers and support we have received from family, friends, doctors and nurses of Upstate and St. Joseph’s Hospitals, staff of NurseCore of Syracuse, and Hospice of CNY. 
 
memorial service is scheduled for Sunday September 23, 2018, 4 PM at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home 2584 Field Lane, LaFayette, New York 13084. A reception will immediately follow at the funeral home. Rev. Shawn Reyburn will officiate the ceremony. The family requests that In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice Foundation of Central New York, 990 Seventh North Street, Liverpool NY,  13088.
